Camping at Ponderosa

We went camping this weekend at Ponderosa. It was so so nice and really beautiful. It's about 2 hours North of us. The drive a really scenic. We just camped, swam a little in the lake and just played games and hung out by the camp fire. It was really nice, we're planning to go again for sure, hopefully we'll get some friends to come up with us next time, there was a lot of rafting, canoeing, kayaking, and boating. The rafting looks so fun!

Anyway, here is a picture of the lake. I wish I would have taken pictures of the beach we went to go swimming, it was perfect and so beautiful!

We played Bocci ball and this is Brandon explaining the rules to us, basically his rule was that even if one us wins he wins, so he gets to throw his bocci ball first. We needed to be retaught this every few rounds, just incase we forgot.
Perfect form :)

Brandon was roasting his first marshmellow and grabbed it while flaming, luckily Ben was there in a flash and Brandon just got a little blister at the end of his finger, needless to say not only did he learn his lesson but we did too. We'll wait a bit longer for him to play with fire.

Brandon took this picture, it turned out really good.

Bridger's Room

Well, Bridger is almost 1 and we are almost done with his baby room. Kind of funny that it's taken us so long (We really didn't even start until he was like 7 months old, so...). I don't think we would have even started if we knew how much work it would be. Ben has done an amazing job putting up the crown molding and the molding around the room, and painting and calking. I'm mostly just doing touch ups now to finish it up. Anyway, we think it looks pretty cool. We kind of copied a room from a pottery barn baby room.

Come and visit, it'll be our guest room in not too long.

I made this mobile a while ago for Bridger and it's just been sitting in our office, so I was excited to finally get to hang it.

Etsy Store

So, I opened a little Etsy store to sell  a couple of quiet books (I actually already sold one YAY), and maybe I'll put some different stuff on there in the future. So if any of you guys are interested check it out. (I won't be making anymore quiet books just incase anyone was wondering, they took way too long to make.) If you've never been to the Etsy website you totally should. I love it! They have so much awesome stuff, I'm kind of hooked.

4th of July

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July & weekend. We had a nice one. We we're really missing the downtown Provo festival. We always love going to that, but this year was different & fun. We went to a neighboring small town, they had a funny little parade, but before the parade started they had a fire truck and hoses spraying the street and people. It was really hot so it was awesome. The parade had the local high school marching band and some army cars, then after that it pretty much had semi's, an RC Willey moving truck, I think a tractor, some local churches on trucks, so it was just kind of funny we thought.

Later that night we went to a 4th of July bbq that a guy in our ward put on. After the bbq the guy did a ton of fire works. It was amazing, it was a big show with the big fireworks it was really awesome. Brandon was pretty afraid, but got a little more used to them. He loved pop-its this year. It's crazy the fireworks that you can buy here, Ben bought some just to do on the street and they ended up being some of the smaller of the big cool ones that fly into the air with different colors and stuff. I didn't even think you could just go buy those. It was pretty awesome.

The above and below pictures were taken by Brandon. I like the one of me because I sort of look small (a camera trick I can assure you), and Ben looks the opposite of small with a little head. :)

Utah trip

So, we went down to Utah for the 2nd time in June. (I don't think I even did a post about the last time, it was a lot easier to blog in the winter when there wasn't anything to do, anyway). We went down this time for Dan (ben's brother) & Pam's wedding. It was great to see them so happy and fun to see some family we haven't seen in a while.

I made their wedding cake. They wanted a pool table cake, so it was a fun cake to make.
Brandon went on this slip and slide and Grandmas house, someone needs to show him how to slide down it though, nevertheless, he had a lot of fun in his tighty whities.
Cute Bridger!

It was so awesome to get together at my Mom's house. My cousins came over and it has been forever since I've seen my cousin Nadia, and just a long time since we've gotten to be together.

My Mom & Nycholle

Carlos, my Mom, & Jen(ny)

Monique (my sister in law) came over too, it was awesome to spend time with her too. Missed you Tim.
It was kind of a cool that we just happened to run into my brother Bob/Rob & Maria and family while we we're down there. We went to Bajio for dinner and they we're there. It was awesome to see them even it was only for a few minutes.

These are a couple of my cousins kids with Brandon. They had a great time playing. They are such cute kids.

So, we had a lot of fun.
