Happy Earth Day!
I love today, because it is a great reminder (of what we should be doing everyday) that we need to love our Earth and do our best to keep it beautiful and clean.
Lately, Ben and I have been talking a lot about what we can do and what choices we can make to create less of a carbon footprint and live a better healthier life.
We are trying hard to find alternatives to plastics that we just throw away. So, I'm not buying body wash anymore, as soon as I run out I'll just use bar soap. There are shampoo bars of soap too and I think I'll do that when we run out of shampoo. I'm really thinking every time I buy something made out of plastic if there is an alternative. I'm planning on using reusable grocery bags for grocery's. I'm even thinking about doing cloth diapers. They seem way better than the old days ones. I have one I'm trying one out and we'll see how it works out. We're just trying to faze out of using these things, but hopefully be able to cut out and recycle the rest.
We're trying to eat better too. We eat so many packaged and processed foods. Both Ben and I have cut out eating meat by a lot. We didn't really eat a ton of meat that much to begin with, but we're eating less, and replacing it with better nutritious food. The hard part is Brandon, he is a junk food junky and lives solely off of packaged and processed food.
I actually really love trying to be a more conscious about what I am doing and consuming. I feel like it can make life more simple in a way and can save money and the earth. I'm really kind of excited about making these changes and more that I'm not writing about, because I'm kind of tired feel like I'm just rambling.
So here are some things that kind of inspired me to finally start making some changes.
This is really cool video about our stuff. You should watch it. It is really interesting.
This is a book I'm reading right now that is really good to. It gave me a lot of motivation to eat better.

And here are some nice websites that inspire me a bit to use less plastic:
