I don't know exactly why people (including myself) that get a Bountiful Basket need to post a picture of all the good stuff they got (at least once), I just know I do. So here it is.
Look at all the good stuff we got this week :) I volunteered (at 6a.freakin m.)so I got to get extra strawberries - yum.
I've never cooked an artichoke before. If one of my many/two readers have any tips, I would love them.

Lori, cut the stem off right below the leaves and steam it for about 7 minutes. This is how I do mine and they're awesome!! If you don't have a steamer you can boil them, but steaming is a little better.
I also steam them, but it seems like it takes WAY longer than 7 minutes! Maybe I'm doing it wrong . . .
They're good with melted butter, but you end up eating a lot of butter that way (and I usually end up feeling sick afterwards), so I like to dip them in fat-free sour cream instead.
Mmmm...I love artichokes. We cut the stems off and steam them for 45 minutes to an hour. You can pull leaves out to see if they are done. We dip them in melted butter and mayo. I use sour cream too, because I don't really like mayo.
